Odoo implementation, from audit to go-live

Independent consultants, so the advice never depends on a licence sale.

  • Standard first, custom when it pays
  • Upgrades tested on a copy

Six parts of an Odoo project

Standard first, custom only when it pays for itself.

  • Process audit

We map how work really moves before touching a setting.

  • Configuration

Standard Odoo first, custom code only where standard costs you money.

  • Data migration

Customers, products, stock and open balances, cleaned and rehearsed.

  • Custom modules

Written to survive upgrades, with tests and documentation.

  • Training and go-live

Each department practises its own processes on its own data.

  • Upgrades and support

Version upgrades tested against your customisations first.

Odoo 20 changed the AI question

Released in September 2026. Three changes to plan around.

  • Agents now change data

They create and update records, and can run on a schedule. Design permissions first.

  • MCP connects outside AI

External AI clients can reach your database, using server actions as their tools.

  • AI runs on credits

All AI features now need IAP credits, so usage belongs in your running costs.

Questions we get asked first

Are you an official Odoo partner?

No. ModulexLabs is an independent implementation company and is not affiliated with Odoo S.A. We state this plainly because it shapes our advice: we do not earn from selling you licences, and we will tell you when fewer apps would do the job.

Should we use Odoo Community or Enterprise?

Community is open source and has no per-user licence fee, but several apps and features are Enterprise only. We compare both against your actual process list during the audit, then show you what each option would need.

Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or our own servers?

Odoo Online is the simplest but does not run custom Python modules. Odoo.sh is hosted by Odoo and supports custom modules. Self-hosting gives you the most control and the most responsibility. The right answer usually follows from how much custom code you need and who will run the system.

How long does an Odoo implementation take?

It depends on the number of companies, apps, integrations and the state of your data. We avoid quoting a number before the process audit because any number given earlier would be a guess. The audit produces a phased plan you can price and challenge.

Can you upgrade us from an older Odoo version?

Yes. We test the upgrade on a copy of your database, review each custom module against the new version and rehearse the cutover before touching production.

Can you take over a stalled Odoo project?

Yes. We start with an audit of the existing configuration, custom code and data, then tell you what to keep, fix or remove before any new work begins.

Where does your Odoo project stand? Tell us about it.

New rollout, stalled project or version upgrade, we can start from any of them.
